This page explains what WeBring Korean collects when you read a phrase list, and what changes once you create an account.

When you just read the site
You do not need an account to read the phrase lists, listen to the audio, or use the guides. We do not run a web-analytics product on this site.
Your browser does send us page-speed measurements (for example how quickly the page became visible). Each measurement carries the path you were on, your browser's user-agent string, a rough device class, and — if you are signed in — your account id. We use it only to find slow pages.
Advertising (Google AdSense)
Topic phrase pages carry ads served by Google AdSense. Google and its partners use cookies and similar device identifiers to serve and measure those ads, and they may personalize them based on your previous visits to this and other sites. That data is handled by Google, not by us.

- Turn off ad personalization: myadcenter.google.com
- In the EEA and the UK, Google's consent message asks you before personalized ads are used. You can reopen it from the ad area at any time.
If you create an account
An account stores your email address, your saved progress, and what you have studied, so the library and your streak work across devices. Accounts and sign-in are handled by Supabase on our behalf. Write to us if you want your account and its data deleted.
Cookies and local storage
- Sign-in session: kept in your browser so you stay signed in. Only set once you sign in.
- Interface preferences, such as whether a panel is open. These never leave your browser.
- Advertising cookies set by Google on ad-carrying pages, as described above.
- __cf_bm: a bot-protection cookie set by Cloudflare, which sits in front of our hosting provider. We do not read it.
Other services the pages load
- Supabase — database, sign-in, and the audio and image files on the pages
- jsDelivr — the Pretendard web font
- Google AdSense and Google's consent message, on ad-carrying pages
Loading a file from these services tells them your IP address and browser, as with any resource on the web.
Children
WeBring Korean is made for learners of Korean of any age, but accounts are meant for users aged 14 and over. If a younger child has created an account, write to us and we will remove it.
